This free, national mentorship scheme for medicine offers evidence-based support and 1:1 sessions with a mentor to all participants that want to study medicine. This opportunity is open to all, however those of widening participation status will be prioritised.
Free mentorship to help improve your application to medical school:
This scheme is completely free for students and schools. Priority is given to students that meet widening participation criteria defined by UK medical schools. This data is also utilised by our admissions calculator and we update this exhaustive list twice a year.
Medicine applicants that do not meet any of the criteria below are still welcome to apply for a place on the mentorship scheme. However, the number of available spaces can fluctuate with each year so there may be zero/limited places for non-widening participation students.
If you meet at least one of the following criteria, you are eligible for “widening participation” status:
NB: Even if you do not meet any of the above criteria, you can still apply for the mentoring scheme.
Applications for the mentorship scheme are currently closed. We will be opening entry for the next mentorship scheme intake around May of this year.
